From Freedom Square, continue towards the Simon Janashia Museum of Georgia. If history and archaeology are your priorities, check the available exhibitions and build your museum pause around them. If painting interests you more, keep your main allowance for the National Gallery. There is no need to enter both simply because their map markers are close.
Kashveti offers a change of scale between cultural stops. Look at the church from outside and compare its relationship with the avenue to that of the gallery beside it. During any permitted visit, respect services and other visitors. Back on the pavement, notice how trees, entrances and street width change your perception of buildings as you move.
Theatre façades and an open finish
At Rustaveli Theatre and the opera, compare entrance decoration and the way each building stands out from its neighbours.
