Start and finish

Start at Phung Hung House, officially listed at 4 Nguyễn Thị Minh Khai. The Japanese Covered Bridge is nearby. Check local signs and admission arrangements at the bridge passage

Continue to the Cantonese Assembly Hall, then Tan Ky House. The final stop is the Museum of Trade Ceramics on Trần Phú Street. The track does not return to the first house

Choose an indoor visit

Phung Hung and Tan Ky focus on merchant houses, the Cantonese hall on community architecture, and the ceramics museum on trade. For a short visit, choose one interior by subject and view the other buildings from the street

The official heritage centre asks visitors to buy a ticket before entering the Ancient Town. Its ticket covers a selection of sites by category. Check the current inclusions before buying; five stops on a map do not mean admission to all five

A shorter version

Finish at the Cantonese Assembly Hall after the bridge for the shortest version. Leave Tan Ky and the museum for a separate visit

After heavy rain, check local notices and street conditions. Paving, small steps and narrow passages have not been verified as a barrier-free route

Before the walk

  • Keep the ticket stub throughout the Ancient Town visit
  • Allow separate time for queues and interiors
  • The walk connects a bridge, a community building and merchant houses. Narrow facades do not reveal the depth of their interiors, so exterior viewing and museum visits offer different experiences. Old-town attraction ticket rules need checking before admission. Local signs determine whether the covered bridge can be crossed

Check hours, tickets and access with each venue. Barriers may change the track and queues may add time. Accessibility has not been surveyed on site

Questions before the walk

Is walking through the streets necessarily free?

Free entry cannot be promised: the heritage centre’s published rules require a ticket for visiting the Ancient Town

Is a guide required for this route?

No. The map and GPX support a self-guided walk. Admission rules at heritage sites still apply
