Start at Sochi railway station
The station tower at 56 Gorkogo Street marks the start. Approach from the city side; viewing the building does not require access to platforms or passenger passages
Continue towards Navaginskaya Street, then follow its pedestrian section between the palms towards the lower part of the centre
From Navaginskaya to the harbour
The marine terminal spire is the next landmark. Navaginskaya does not cover the entire approach to the harbour: use designated crossings and the mapped route where traffic interrupts the walk
View the marine terminal tower from the open square. Piers and boarding areas are outside the route. Continue to Archangel Michael Cathedral; services govern access inside
Where to finish
For a shorter version, stop at the marine terminal and omit the last section to the cathedral. The return to the railway station is outside the track distance
A coastal walk can follow as a separate route. Swimming, a boat trip and the Arboretum need their own time and planning
Map and stops
The numbered markers match the stops below. A marker does not guarantee an open entrance

Before the walk
- Allow for sun exposure on the open harbour square
- Leave time for traffic lights and facade stops
- The railway station introduces the resort’s ceremonial architecture. Navaginskaya Street leads towards the centre, while the marine terminal opens the walk onto the harbour. The cathedral stop is suitable for an exterior view; check interior access separately
Check hours, tickets and access with each venue. Barriers may change the track and queues may add time. Accessibility has not been surveyed on site
Questions before the walk
Is this route in Adler or central Sochi?
Central Sochi, starting at Sochi station. Adler, the airport and Sirius are outside this walk
Does the walk fit between trains?
Only with enough extra time for the return, security checks and boarding. The 40-minute estimate covers one-way walking alone
