For a first Istanbul walk, choose Sultanahmet with the Hippodrome, Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, or change scale with Galata, Pera Museum and İstiklal towards Taksim. Other routes lead through the bazaars towards the Golden Horn or connect Maçka Park, Dolmabahçe and Istanbul Modern.
