Reading the town through its façades

The local museum occupies a historic building and makes a useful start for an architecture walk. From there, continue past the cultural centre and puppet theatre to Borjomi Park station. The streets are short, but indoor visits should remain outside walking-time estimates: a museum exhibition may fill a separate part of the day

Two sides of the spa-town centre

Pause at Kostava Garden before heading towards Firuza. Near the park, the street scale changes from an ordinary town route to a spa promenade. View the carved house as a whole from the street before examining the loggia and gable details

Stops in route order

Borjomi Local History Museum — A museum in a historic building on St Nino Street. Separate the façade stop from an exhibition visit

Tchaikovsky monument — A composer’s monument in the older part of town. Pause here on the way to the museum

Shota Rustaveli Cultural Centre — The town cultural centre close to the river. Check events and hall access separately

Borjomi Puppet Theatre — A small theatre in the town centre’s cultural quarter. Performance time is excluded from the walking estimate

Borjomi-Parki railway station — The town railway station beside the Mtkvari and central bridge. Use permitted access to the platforms

Merab Kostava Garden — A small town garden between the station, river and resort streets. Use it for a short break before hillier sections

St Nicholas Church — A church beside Kostava Garden and the walkable town centre. Respect services and the quiet setting

Mirza-Riza Khan House — Firuza — A blue house with carved balconies near the entrance to Central Park. View the façade from the street; the building has a private operator
