What to see

Mozartplatz and Residenzplatz open towards the cathedral and residence. The fountain shows the scale of the ceremonial centre. DomQuartier connects museum spaces in the residence and cathedral complex; it needs a separate visit

How to walk

Start on Mozartplatz, cross the cathedral squares and continue to Kapitelschwemme. Pass through St Peter’s quarter to the Franciscan Church and Alter Markt. The fortress climb is outside this walk
